To uphold the initial 'rule of the majority' of the Brexit referendum results.
We voted because you said you would listen to our views but the backlash and recent petition against the Brexit democratic vote results requesting the people be re-polled appears to totally contradict the very ethos of why the people of the United Kingdom were voting in the first instance.
The polling day was very well publicized and all who wished to vote followed that due process to allow them to do so. If Parliament were to allow a second referendum then it totally undermines the confidence of the underlying principle of democracy the very ethos of why the people of the United Kingdom were voting in the first instance.
