Allow ability to oppose an e-petition
E-petitions are useful. However simply allowing people to sign to state that they agree to a petition provides an unbalanced representation. Often there are plenty of people who oppose the petition but to make their views known the only option they have is to start another e-petition to oppose the first one.
E-petitions should allow somebody to sign it stating that they either oppose it or support it. That way a more representative level of support and opposition can be seen.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
