Require voters to display a basic knowledge of current affairs prior to voting.
The democratic system in the UK is such that people often vote without any knowledge of what they are voting for, leading to undesired consequences. To ensure future credibility to our democracy we need to be sure that people understand issues surrounding political elections and referendums.
Require all voters to display basic knowledge of current affairs to ensure they understand what they are voting for. For example this could be via a short 10 question multiple choice questionnaire.
