UK Govt to hold a general election in the Autumn (Before Article 50 is invoked)
The country is divided on EU membership and how our future relationship with Europe should be shaped.
There are different models as to how the country's future relationship can be negotiated & people need to be confident that the party they have voted for reflects their views on this.
Each Political Party will be held legally accountable to the manifesto pledges they make with regard to the UK's future relationship with Europe.
The results of this General Election will provide the elected Govt with a clear and unequivocal mandate to implement the pledges they have made in their manifesto - in the event of a coalition Govt the policy must be aligned with manifesto pledge of the larger party with regard to Europe and the EU.
