Free Lead Pipe Replacement

A huge number of homes in the UK still have a lead piped main supply. To get the mains supply within your house changed to a bigger plastic pipe you are forced to get your water company to replace their pipe. Due to their monopoly postion they charge an extortionate fee for this. The government should force them to replace this piping for free for those households who replace their internal pipes irrespective of the lead level reading as it also affects other things like flow.
