All branches of Government should tell the truth as should any media coverage
In the UK, there is no code that requires political statements to be “legal, decent, honest and truthful”. Given the repeated lies and misuse of statistics from all political parties and the media, truth and honesty should now be a mandatory prerequisite for discussion of all political matters
Examples of lies told by government ministers:
Tony Blair, Iraq War: Weapons of Mass Destructions
Tory Manifesto, NHS: No top down reorganisation
Jeremy Hunt, NHS: Too many to mention
Leave Campaign, EU Referendum: £350 Million we send to the EU will be used to fund the NHS
