Make a compulsory age limit for ear piercing.
It should be unacceptable for parents to pierce the ears of young children. It inflicts fear and pain on the child, for the parent's own vanity. No child would willingly be hurt.
Children cannot make an informed decision about the unnecessary procedure being inflicted on them, it has no benefit.
