Only Parliament can mandate the invocation of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty
UK constitutional law dictates that only Parliament can mandate an invocation of Article 50 fo the Lisbon Treaty because invocation of Article 50 would amend and overrule existing acts of Parliament which cannot be done by exercise of the Royal Prerogative.
