Reassure existing lawful immigrants that they can remain in UK
There are thousands of immigrants who are here entirely lawfully, many, for example, working in the UK.
Regardless of whether we remain in the EU we should make clear that we welcome the contribution they make to our society and confirm that their continued presence here is secure.
