Cancel the parliamentary summer recess to implement the result of the EU vote.
Whichever side you voted for in the EU referendum it is clear that the UK needs strong and focused political leadership in the turbulent times that lie ahead. It is also clear that the process of leaving the EU will be a huge and complex legislative task.
Businesses from all parts of the economy need urgent decisions in order to plan investment, recruitment etc. Expats from the UK and those from other countries living in the UK need to know what their future holds. Students, universities and scientists need urgent decisions regarding funding, study visas and so on. There are many more areas where delay and abdication of leadership are unacceptable. MPs should be working 40 hours a week 48 weeks of the year to tackle these issues.
