Parliment must ensure public still support Brexit before Article 50 is triggered
After the narrow margin of the EU referendum the country is divided on the issue. Since the result a number of the claims of the leave campaign have been found to be untrue.
The undersigned demand that the government ensure that the UK still supports Brexit before triggering Article 50.
A clear statement of the facts around inmigration, the economy and our options for a deal with the EU must be presented and the government should agree that the current situation is still in the spirit of the pledges made to the electorate. If there is sufficient doubt that the electorate was able to make an informed decision then Article 50 must not be triggered.
