The next PM suspend the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011, hold a General Election
With the talk of a post-referendum General Election, its an expectation that when the Primer Minister resigns, the new incumbent should seek the approval of the country.
The next leader of the Conservative Party should therefore seek the approval of the Country within three months of taking office.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Parliament is able to amend the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 if it does not wish to repeal it altogether.
You may wish to submit a petition calling for the Act to be amended.
