Take prompt action against rise of xenophobia and hate related crime
The government is urged to send a clear message that there is no place for hate crime in our society, that any incidents are investigated and persecuted in accordance with the UK law. The government needs to reassure all minority groups living in the UK that they are protected by the authorities.
With a rise in xenophobia and hate related crime the government is urged to act quickly. To send a clear message that hate/racially motivated crime is unacceptable. To stress that all incidents will be persecuted in accordance with the UK law. To reassure minority groups and migrants that they are protected by the authorities and should not fear for their safety. The government is urged to address underlying socio-economic issues to break down divisions caused by fear and lack of opportunities.
