Government guarantee of £85000 to apply to retail banks only
Only those banks which restrict operations to high street/retail banking should qualify for the £85000 government guarantee on personal savings. 'Casino' banks would be obliged to notify personal savers that their funds were no longer backed by UK government.
Let them gamble with their own money or that of informed investors.
