Petition for a Judicial Review into Parliament's legal basis for leaving the EU.
Given that leaving the EU will change the legal status of every British citizen, every EU citizen living in the UK, and every British citizen living in the EU, the legal authority of Parliament to trigger this change must be questioned. The key question: is 'Brexit' in the national interest?
1) The promise of an In/Out EU Referendum was a Conservative manifesto pledge to appease backbenchers, indicating it was a party issue.
2) A large minority voted against leaving the EU (48%).
3) Of the total electorate, only 37% of those eligible to vote have expressed a clear desire to leave the EU.
4) Many of the Leave campaign's promises have unravelled since the Referendum.
5) The increase in racist and xenophobic incidents brings into question Brexit's impact on social cohesion in the UK.
