General Election before Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union is triggered
Following the result of the EU referendum (in which 52% of the vote called for the UK to leave the EU), the task of the government has drastically changed. However, due to the binary system of the vote (remain/leave), the government does not know exactly what its people want from the "Brexit".
With the multiple lies, half truths, scaremongering, etc that was involved in the campaigning of the referendum (on both sides), I believe it is only fair that the people get to make a decision where promises that are made can be held accountable.
