We require a General Election to serve the needs of democracy post Brexit.
The current parliament was elected in a stable economic and political environment. We now have Bexit and the people should have an opportunity to select a new government for the new landscape.
It it feasible that the government can change leaders and policies without a democratic mandate and without an effective opposition to hold them to account? Our politicians have shown more interest in their next job than the future of the country. An election would have them focus back on the issues raised by the referendum and state a clear plan and manifesto for the new environment.
