Withhold the salaries of both the Cabinet and the Shadow Cabinet.
As a result of the Leave vote in the EU referendum, both the Conservative and Labour parties have descended into pathetic infighting, and until they return to public service, their salaries should be withheld as they are not currently carrying out the duties for which they are paid.
We find ourselves on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, when thousands of brave men lost their lives to preserve our democratic freedoms, and our public servants are spending this historic day making our country an international laughing stock with their craven jostling for career moves instead of serving our country. This is a disgrace, and I believe their salaries should not be paid while the fight amongst themselves.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) is responsible for deciding on MPs' expenses and pay. IPSA is independent of both Parliament and Government.
We could accept a petition calling for the additional ministerial salary received by members of the Cabinet to be withheld. Members of the Shadow Cabinet do not all receive an additional salary. Under the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975, the only Opposition MPs who receive an additional salary are the Leader of the Opposition, the Opposition Chief Whip and an Assistant Opposition Whip.
You could start a new petition calling for some or all of the additional salaries paid under the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975 to be withheld. You can read the Act here:
