Seek Supreme Court declaration if Art. 50 trigger needs Act of Parliament
The triggering of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty will render void the European Communities Act 1972. In general, the voiding of a UK statute should occur by statute rather than prerogative. We ask the new Prime Minister seek a declaration from the Supreme Court if an Act of Parliament is required
