Petition Action

Have a referendum on invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty

Petition Details

The nation has voiced its opinion on whether the UK should remain a member of the EU or leave the EU. We should now vote on whether to take this opinion forward and make the decision to leave the EU legally binding.

Additional Information

The 23rd June captured the mood of the nation towards politics and various issues facing the UK at that time. Since then the state of UK politics has deteriorated rapidly with turmoil in both major parties and the resignation of the Prime Minister. Hardly the best time to start major trade negotiations which will affect our nation for generations to come. We do not have to start these negotiations. We do not have to leave the EU. We do not have to invoke Article 50.
