Parliament must decide and vote before Article 50 is triggered.
The implications for the UK leaving the EU are unknown, and cannot be known for months. More considered reflection is needed.
Parliament, not Government must decide whether it is in the national interest to proceed with triggering Article 50.
Parliament must take the decision to enact a statute empowering or requiring Government to issue a notice under Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon, and empowering the Government to make such changes to statutes as are necessary to bring about our exit from the European Union.
