Since 1966 England's national football team has not reached the final of any major tournament, yet our neighbours France, Spain, Germany & Italy have all won the World Cup and the Euros. We don't have a smaller population or less passion; the only constant throughout this period of failure is the FA

Additional Information

The FA should be forced to harness the commercial power of the Premiership with two simple changes:

1) A place in the Champions League should be awarded to the winner of the FA Cup, reassigned from 4th place in the Premiership

2) A new rule should stipulate that teams competing in the FA Cup must always have at least 6 players on the pitch who are eligible to play for England.

This would encourage investment from billionaire owners to improve both the England team and the FA Cup as a contest.
