article 50 ~ European Union ~ Lisbon Treaty ~ MP ~ Parliament ~ Referendum ~ UK
Article 50 Lisbon treaty can only be invoked by 2/3 's majority of MP's
The recent referendum showed different needs across the UK.
As a parliamentary democracy we trust in elected MP's to make decisions on our behalf.
Only a plan that a significant majority of MP's can support will re-unite the UK
There is currently no plan. It is the job of parliament to ensure
that before article 50 is invoked there is robust, coherent and competent plan in place that is in the interests of the UK as a whole and will deliver clear advantages and benefits to the UK over the current status quo as a member of the European Union.
