Call a full parliamentary debate and vote prior to invoking Article 50
The recent referendum on whether or not to leave the EU is not legally binding, and there was only a very narrow margin in favour of the decision to leave. Given the impact of this decision on the lives of ordinary British citizens, it is imperative that we now have a full parliamentary debate
Given the devastating impact that this decision is likely to have on the economy and the future of our young people who overwhelmingly voted to remain in the EU, it is imperative that we do not rush into an irrevocable decision without a full debate by our elected members of parliament. Moreover there is ample evidence that, had the true facts been known to the electorate, many people who voted to leave would have in fact voted to remain instead.
