Grant indefinite leave to remain to all citizens of the EEA settled in the UK
Expelling EEA migrants from the UK as a result of the recent EU referendum is not desirable or possible under UN and ECHR rules.
We call upon the government to end speculation of repatriations which is creating a climate of fear by confirming leave to remain for settled EEA citizens in the UK.
Collective expulsions are prohibited by the UN International Law Committee under Article 9 of the UN "Draft articles on the expulsion of aliens" and furthermore by Article 4 of Protocol 4 of the European Convention on Human Rights (which the UK is still subject to even if we leave the EU)
