Create a 'blue badge' parking permit to control parent and child parking spaces.
Inconsiderate people who park in parent and child spaces without children in the vehicle compromise the safety of those families who require such facilities.
'Blue Badge' style control on these spaces would enable young families to consistently park as safe and convenient as possible.
Parents and their children's safety is compromised as a result of people abusing the parking previsions created for families.
Parking Spaces for families are both;
-situated in a safer location.
-created with wider access enabling children to enter/ exit vehicles safely.
By providing a parking permit at the birth of a child (or via aplication for existing families) , these spaces can be properly controlled, allowing families to utilise these facilaties when necessary
