Tony Blair to be tried for misconduct in public office

Petition Details

The public trusted Tony Blair to act in their interest, but instead he made the decision to invade Iraq. Lord Macdonald said "it seems very likely that Mr Blair roundly abused the trust placed in him by the public". We the undersigned call upon HM government to charge Mr Blair with misconduct.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can't accept petitions which accuse someone of a crime. In any case, we can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren’t responsible for deciding whether someone should stand trial.
