Petition Details

The assessments of 2016 were a complete fiasco and the subsequent marking of these assessments is questionable with many headteachers across the country finding a large number of errors in the marking, bringing into question the quality assurance of the marking of these tests.

Additional Information

The new national curriculum was rushed in to use in 2014 without adequate preparation time and should have been phased in, rather than a complete switch.

Year 6 pupils sitting the assessments in 2016 only had 2 years of preparation and the information given to schools on how this would be assessed was unclear requiring numerous updates and clarification.

Across the country headteachers are reporting quality assurance issues with the marking of these assessments, making them unreliable.
