Petition Action

Refuse to discuss with the Spanish government on the sovereignty of Gibraltar

Petition Details

Gibraltar has been part of the UK since the Treaty of Utrecht 1713 and whilst geographically attached to the Iberian peninsula, this is not cause alone for Spain to claim jurisdiction over it

Additional Information

It would be hypocritical of Spain to claim any sovereignty over Gibraltar whilst they retain sovereignty over their enclaves of Melilla and Ceuta in Morocco on the African continent
