Final Leader elections in Government or Opposition should be by national vote.

Petition Details

Parlimentary leadership elections are decided by a small fraction of the electorate. This could see a vastly different Prime Minister or leader of the Opposition than the electorate intended to put in power and could in instances give rise to instability at a time when greater stability is required.
