Refer MPs to their own Code of Conduct. Their duty to the Nation must prevail

Petition Details

In the recent EU referendum the vote to Brexit was too small to inflict such massive damage and far reaching consequences on this and future generations. It was a snapshot of opinion on 23rd June 2016 some of which will have been formed on misinformation.

Additional Information

MPs have a duty to the Nation. The Nation is Scotland, NI, Wales and England and in this case Gibraltar. This duty prevails over any special duty to their constituents (or their party).

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
