Hold a Public Inquiry into campaign tactics employed during the EU Referendum.
Leaving the EU is a one-time decision, it cannot be undone. A decision of this significance should be made for reasons that are open, honest and justifiable. If the public may have been misled, before we leave, the Government have a duty to investigate unethical conduct and act accordingly.
Given the speed with which some campaigners abandoned claims and pledges in the aftermath (specifically the claims about the £350 million a week for the NHS and free movement of people), surely an investigation into whether the public have been misled is required.
Did elected representatives knowlingly mislead the public by making claims they knew to be either false or highly misleading?
If false or misleading claims were knowingly made, did they significantly impact the result of the vote?
