Call for MPs to support a motion of no confidence, triggering a general election
We the undersigned, call for MPs to call for and thereafter support a motion of no confidence in government in order to trigger a general election under the Fixed Term Parliaments Act 2011.
Circumstances since the last election have changed drastically, thus requiring a general election.
Following the resignation of David Cameron and the decision of the U.K. population to withdraw from the EU, it is clear that the Conservative government does not currently hold an effective mandate.
A new election is required in order to allow the population to voice an opinion on our new relationship with Europe and to elect new representatives based on new manifestos.
