Take a vote of confidence or no confidence in the UK government.

Petition Details

That all MPs take part in a vote of confidence or no confidence in the government; and it is accepted that by statute should the government lose such vote by simple majority the consequent reformed government must win a similar vote within 14 days or dissolve parliament and call a general election.

Additional Information

Additionally all MPs should acknowledge that they are duty bound in any such vote to act in accordance with the wishes of the majority of their constituents, regardless of party politics, as may be determined both by signatories to this general petition and by any direct appeals or petitions to individual MPs at constituency level.
