Should local planning authorities be able to look into the condition of a developers current stock?
By ignoring this, work is created for councillor and officers alike.
Environmental health, building control etc are all too many times called in for enforcement and neglect.
Giving planning authorities the power to review stock of high yield developers could avert this, resulting in saving millions of £'s each year.
This will also have the knock on effect that residents will be happier as their homes and work places will be maintained or developers/housing associations will not be able to expand.
