Convictions of Assault against emergency services cannot be suspended sentences
All too often members of the emergency services are physically assaulted whilst helping the public. The current sentencing practices from criminal justice are woefully inadequate and provide no deterrent. People think they can get away with attacking our brave service personnel, this has to change
A recent example:
A Paramedic doing his job, helping an unconscious patient, is attacked by drunken yob and ends up with a broken nose and off work for two months ...
The offender gets ...... a suspended sentence !!!
This really needs to be stamped out - now.
