Limit government special advisor severance pay to the minimum contract amount
Former Prime Minister David Cameron has overruled civil service advice so his special advisers get severance pay worth £282,000. This is contractually unnecessary and morally wrong at a time of public spending austerity. It smacks of cronyism and the money would be better spent on essential services
