For MPs of this country to listen to the people & hold a referendum on trident

Petition Details

Have you asked US if we want have a weapon of mass destruction renewed against our commitment to nonproliferation treaties?

The UK signed a nonproliferation treaty which came into force in the international community in 1970, 46 years ago.

Additional Information

This is a matter that should be put to a referendum.

It is OUR taxpayers money that will be used to pay for this if we keep it, it should be our right to decide whether that is spent on a WMD or not.

We should aim to uphold our side of nonproliferation and get rid of these weapons.

We do not believe the UK government has listened to the people on this issue and strongly believe they should.
