Make bonfires a criminal offence except on 5 November and the nearest weekend
Bonfires are environmentally unfriendly and pollute the houses, gardens and washing of the people nearest to it. This can be a considerable radius depending on the atmospheric conditions. It is unacceptable for people to have to close their windows - whatever the weather - to keep smoke out.
