Prevent falsehoods and misrepresentations being presented as facts in referenda.

Petition Details

It is alleged that the EU referendum result was 'influenced by misrepresentations of fact and promises that could not be delivered' and that some campaigning 'degenerated into dishonesty on an industrial scale'. Facts were seen by some as irrelevant. Action is needed to prevent this in the future.
