Use of the word slow in traffic signs

Additional Information

The use of the word slow is a perception not an absolute.
What is slow to some is fast to others and vice versa.
The word SLOW as painted on the road surface should be replaced with figures ie 20, 30 or 40 etc.
This immediately results in a 50% saving in road paint.
Over the whole UK a considerable sum saved.
It is accepted that these figures would be advisory not mandatory just like the word slow.
