Make cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training compulsory in schools.

Petition Details

On average someone dies of a heart attack every 6 minutes, sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in adults.This number could be reduced. Therefore, it is vital that people are taught CPR as soon as they are able to.

CPR consists of 30 chest compressions and 2 mouth to mouth breathes repeated until assistances has arrived. Once someone has learnt these 2 simple techniques they assist anyone who has suffered a cardiac arrest or heart attack.
