Petition Action

Give the public the right to recall their MP

Additional Information

At present, the electorate has no power over its elected representatives between elections.

An MP can be elected on a completely false pretenses, can change political parties - or not attend parliament altogether and there is nothing that the voters can do about it.

Legislation should be introduced to give the electorate the power to recall their MP and make them face a by-election.
