We, the undersigned, demand that the Fixed-Term Parliaments Act be repealed.
A petition was started a while ago asking for a general election when Cameron resigned. The petition, they say, cannot happen unless the Fixed-Term Parliaments Act is repealed.
Not even a failing Prime Minister can trigger a general election, so like it or not we are stuck for 5 years with a government that the majority have no faith in. Just like at present with pm May now saying BREXIT cannot happen until 2019. This, I believe is completely unacceptable to every UK citizen that voted to Leave the EU.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
