Reinstate the departmemt of Energy and Climate Change
One of Theresa May's first acts as PM has been to abolish the DECC. With enviromental law already under threat post brexit it is a move that has been labeled stupid and worrying by experts.
Just this past Monday, a government report warned that urgent action would be needed to protect Britain from flooding, deadly heatwaves, and water shortages caused by global warming. We need a goverment that is committed to tackling these issue rather then placing them out of site and out of mind.
With a cabinet full of climate sceptics its is now more important then ever that there be a separate government department tackling these issues.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.
