Local Authority Funded After School Clubs
Local Authorities to provide funding for After School Clubs to be run in all schools up to 6pm. Also to provide breakfast clubs at every school for 1 hr before school starts. This would enable parents to work full time if they need to and help others to take part time jobs which would normally clash with school hours. This should be available for all children but this would be especially beneficial for those children whose parents work.
This could be funded through local taxes which could provide free places or charge a small fee to working parents.
