Address LGBTQ inequality when applying for housing!
As an NCS project, we aim to raise awareness about the issues LGBT people face when applying for housing. It is unfair that people who don't identify as straight are considered less important than those who do. It is time we took action.
It is proven that LGBT couples spend longer waiting on housing waiting lists than heterosexual couples.
Despite current equality laws, LGBT people are still experiencing hostility in day to day life.
24% of the youth homeless population identify as LGBTQ.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do to address the problems faced by LGBTQ people who are applying for housing.
