Keep the age at which a child is required to conform to adult rules consistent.
Young adults are forced to give the same as adults, but receive the same as children. There are considerable variations in the ways young adults are treated as adults in relation to bus tickets, entertainment tickets etc. but are treated as children in relation to wages, voting etc.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government and Parliament are not responsible for bus and entertainment ticket prices.
If you want Parliament to introduce a new law to make private companies (for example, transport companies and entertainment providers) treat everyone under a specified age as a child for pricing purposes, you could start a new petition asking them to do that.
Or you could start a new petition calling on the Government to treat everyone over a specified age as an adult in areas that they are responsible for, such as voting rights and the right to receive the national minimum wage or the national living wage.
