Change how property is bought and sold in England and Wales.
The process of buying and selling your property in this country is the most inefficient and costly in the world. It only benefits solicitors and real estate agents by shrouding everything in cloak and dagger and making it so complex that you can't realistically avoid using them.
We need to make more into law and less left for solicitors to hatch out in each single case. Needless searches and conveyancing is repeated time and again for the same property long before anyone as made a legal commitment to neither sell nor buy a property.
The point of sale should be moved till when the seller accept the buyers offer, and the seller should be made legally responsible for the condition of the property at the point of sale.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition setting out the specific changes that you would like Parliament to make to the law.
