Leaving the EU requires parliamentary approval.
We call upon Parliament, before notification is given under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, to debate, among other issues, the seven factors listed under 'More details', and to vote on whether or not the UK should leave the EU.
1. The referendum is advisory, not binding.
2. The implications of a 'Brexit' were not clear at the time of the referendum.
3. Many of the statements made during the campaign were misleading.
4. Brexit has the potential to split the UK.
5. Potential changes to status (and healthcare etc.) of UK citizens in the EU, and EU citizens living in the UK, are concerning.
6. Many of the people mentioned above were denied a vote.
7. Conditions for ever re-joining the EU could be highly unfavourable.
